We are our genes and biology, but we are also our choices and environment- no man is an island. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but I also incorporate Mindfulness training with Biblical Counseling. Biblical counseling is unique because while it acknowledges the power of our genes and neurological pathways, we also have the truth of Scripture through the Holy Spirit. Mind, Body, and Spirit are all components of who we are and how we function. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come”. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:7
