Experience
Patti has been working with Families and Adults since 2000, starting as a Shelter Advocate at a grass roots organization in Kentucky. Her experiences as a Therapist, Case Manager, Advocate, Educator, and Crisis Intervention Specialist have given her a broad range of skills and introduced her to people with a wide array of strengths to build upon in the journey of therapy.
In addition to a deep background in working with adults using Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Patti worked with the Partnering for Family Success program as the Lead Trauma Therapist and was certified in multiple trauma-specific therapies.
Child Parent Psychotherapy is a didactic model for children 5 and under who have experienced trauma. This model utilizes the caregiver relationship as the vehicle for healing.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is evidence-based for children aged 6 to 18 and has been rigorously tested and retested with excellent long term results.
Trauma Adapted Family Connections is a modality for treatment that incorporates multiple therapies into a strengths-based approach for building family cohesion after disruption.
Personal Statement
Patti is a vocation-driven Social Worker with a passion for walking alongside clients in need of a listening ear. Her clinical strengths include goal setting, crisis intervention, and trauma therapy.
