Dilyn Stancak
Dilyn Stancak brings a lighthearted, casual communication style and calming demeanor to therapy, creating a space where conversation feels natural and open. She allows clients to set the pace and adapts her energy to their needs. Dilyn is passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions, periods of stagnation, self-esteem, body image, relationships, disordered eating, healthy habits, and meaningful change. I am an avid hobbyist. I believe in living a big life, taking up space, and putting myself out there to meet new people, share experiences, and try new things, no matter my ability level, whenever the opportunity presents itself. I have worked hard to embrace new experiences, push myself outside of my comfort zone, and not be afraid to embarrass myself in this pursuit. I enjoy what some would consider type 2 fun, consisting of activities that let me see what my body is capable of while simultaneously training my mind to endure pressure, such as rock climbing and distance running. Part of this really focuses on DBT skills such as distress tolerance and grounding while I am participating in these activities. To me, a strong and healthy mind is just as important as a strong, healthy body.
