Experience:

Robin has over fifteen years of experience working with adolescents and adults globally on issues related to healthy development, adapting to stress and adversity, moving through the trauma recovery process, building positive interactions and supportive relationships, and understanding and addressing mental and behavioral health issues. She engages people from all walks of life across issues, including people impacted by trauma and violence, people living with HIV or other chronic health conditions, people facing severe mental health issues such as addiction, psychosis, and personality disorders, and racial, ethnic, and gender minorities. Trauma-informed care, anti-oppression, systems thinking, and cultural and spiritual sensitivity guide Robin's approach to therapy. The main therapeutic modalities she uses are cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies, though she often also integrates mindfulness, somatic (mind-body) practices, artistic expression, and family and relational systems into the process where relevant.

Personal statement:

I will foster a validating atmosphere to build relational, emotional, and spiritual resilience to life’s challenges. My therapeutic toolbox is ever-growing, built from scientific evidence, clinical practice, and authentic human interaction. Trauma-informed care, anti-oppression, systems thinking, and cultural and spiritual sensitivity guide my practice. I am dedicated to helping you identify a path towards a rewarding, uplifting, and engaged life. Together, we can identify inherent strengths, hopes, resources, and relationships that will help you create and work towards your goals.
