Overview
A spiritual director meets with you one-on-one to help you notice and respond to the love of God in your own everyday life. They act as a friend and guide to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with you on your journey, whether you’re just beginning to explore faith, looking for God in a crisis, or wanting to take your spiritual life deeper.
In life, we’re often fixated on finding answers. Spiritual direction helps us focus on the important questions, like: Where is God? What is God doing in my life? What’s God’s invitation for me now?
Spiritual directors are certified practitioners with at least two years of accredited training and ongoing professional supervision.
Who it can help
Your spiritual director will meet with you for about an hour each month to create an open, safe and prayerful space for you to explore how you’re experiencing God. Spiritual directors listen and ask questions. Occasionally, they might reflect back what they’re noticing, offer encouragement, or take you through a helpful prayer practice.
