License:
Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
Experience:
I have been practicing as a Trauma Therapist for teens and women for over 15 years in schools, outpatient agencies, and private practice. I received certification as a Trauma and Loss School Specialist in 2012 and as a Certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner in 2020 from STARR Commonwealth. I was also nominated for and awarded the distinguished C.A.R.E. committee Award of Appreciation, as presented by the Six District Educational Compact schools and communities, as a result of the dedicated and compassionate trauma services I provided to Kent City schools in Portage County.
Personal statement:
I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and chronic stress. My work is relational and paced, helping clients notice what’s happening beneath the surface, regulate emotions, and feel more capable of reducing life stressors. I integrate evidence-based approaches including attachment-focused, somatic, parts-informed therapy, and EMDR—a modality especially useful for those in high-stress helping professions, such as first responders and healthcare providers. Sessions are collaborative, client-centered, and offered via telehealth, making it convenient and time-efficient while providing a supportive space to build insight, resilience, and practical strategies for managing life’s challenges.
