Education

Earned an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies from Ohio Christian University. Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Ethics from Mid-America Christian university, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University.

License:

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.

Experience:

Worked as an individual and community-based therapist in the Northern Greater Cleveland area, serving families of various backgrounds. Worked as a group co-facilitator helping clients and families struggling with trauma, self recovery and relationship dynamics. Specializes in issues related to teens, young adulthood and women in effective life coping skills and stress management. Fluent in Spanish. Also, worked in trauma recovery helping vulnerable clients, the victims of trauma and violent crime, have a sense of normalcy in life and helping individuals dealing with grief and loss in their life.

Personal statement:

Trauma can disrupt multiple facets of life (e.g. education, emotional development, or a sense of security) which increases a risk of isolation as well as detachment from the community. The space of therapy is a place for you to reconnect with a sense of self, happiness, feel safe and comfortable in a place where all are accepted. I enjoy empowering others in enhancing positivity or creating change in each individual. We are all unique in dealing with emotions differently, at times, we may need someone to talk and confide in. I enjoy working in collaboration with the client to address barriers that hinder them from living the life they desire to have.

We all need support from time to time, in a safe and comfortable non-judgmental setting. you are not alone - give a call or send an email. We can talk about your needs and see if this is a good fit!

Keep in mind that your current situation DOES NOT have to be your final destination... Life is a journey therefore anticipate a better day ahead...
